We are Thijs and Noah. Our paths crossed while studying Film and Photographic Studies at Leiden University. Then we became colleagues and visited the cinema (almost) every Wednesday after work. 

The cinema became the ideal place for us to relax (see above) and enjoy contemporary and classic cinematic gems. As the cherry on top, there was of course the famous post-screening discussion where exciting insights, brilliant interpretations and riveting speeches, or angry outbursts, succeeded each other in rapid succession. 

Our enthusiasm about this ritual gave rise to the idea for ‘Kino Woensdag’.
